O L Y M P U S      P H O T O G R A P H Y      W O R K S H O P

I have been in a very fortunate position most of my photographic life, to be able to own and shoot with a variety of camera systems, .  But over the years, the digital system that I have done my best work with has been Olympus.  From the ease of the camera body controls, to the in camera stabilization,  and of course the wonderful optics that Olympus produces, and how could I not rave about their sensors, I have produced, output, and sold images primarily from my Olympus tools.  Olympus has an uncanny way of just simply producing the right colors and dynamic range that I look for as a photographer.

Our workshop, in cooperation with Olympus, and Penn Camera Sponsership will teach Olympus users and those who want to become Olympus users all about the cameras and how they operate with all of the intuitive controls as well as extensive menu options for producing wonderful creative images.

What an incredible place for enthusiastic photographers to come together to take incredibly beautiful photographic works of art that you and your family and friends can treasure.   It is such a diverse area that you will want to spend MORE than one day here.

Together, you will learn composition, exposure control, lighting with both strobe and reflector / diffusers, putting you in control of the light around you.  And it is always about light. ALL SKILL LEVELS CAN BENEFIT FROM THIS CLASS.

Green Spring Gardens is one of Washington DC area best kept secrets. It's a year-round gold mine of photographic inspiration for all levels of  creative photographers.  It's an outdoor classroom where photographers can learn to create wonderful images of many plant and flower species and the insects that live and work there.

There are wonderful diverse photographic opportunities:  a wooded stream valley with ponds, a naturalistic native plant garden, over 20 theme  gardens, a greenhouse filled with tropicals, Busy Bees moving from flowers to flowers, Dragon Flies, Butterflies.  Green Spring will educate, inspire, and delight you.  Once you discover Green Spring and learn how to photograph in this setting, you will want to come back often, as the gardens are always changing.

You will not simply be pointed in the right direction, you will be taught how to put your images together through proper composition and exposure.
